Swedish Match's web site receives international award

Swedish Match's web site has received the 2004 International Stevie Award. The Award, which was founded in the United States, went to Swedish Match for "best overall design".

"Swedish Match has invested in web-based communication for a long time," says Annette Kaunitz, the Corporate Communications project manager responsible for the web site. "We have high demands on ourselves to stay on the cutting edge, which is why this kind of international recognition is very encouraging. It recognises our work and provides encouragement for our continued efforts."

This year's winners of the International Stevie Award were chosen from approximately 500 nominee companies and individuals from more than 30 countries. From around 40 award categories, 67 winners were chosen for their individual and team business performance in the past year.

The Stevie Award was founded to recognise the progress and initiatives that companies and their employees contribute to society. The overall aim of all the award categories is to reward outstanding leadership, innovation, perseverance, creativity, teamwork and integrity.

Swedish Match's web site was produced in cooperation with Hallvarsson & Halvarsson of Stockholm and designed by Hallvarsson & Halvarsson employee Jenny Myrbeck.
