The award went to pediatrician Henry Ascher.
The Solstickan award is presented each year to someone in Sweden who, outside the framework of his or her normal professional work and within the parameters of the Solstickan statutes, has made a significant contribution to children or the elderly.
This year, the Solstickan award was presented to pediatrician Henry Ascher, with the motivation: “for having worked to ensure that all children who stay in Sweden, either permanently or temporarily, are treated in a manner that complies with the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of Children.”
The award was presented at the Västra Trädgårdssällskapet Society’s premises in Stockholm. During the traditional lunch, Henry Ascher received the award from Princess Christina of Sweden.
We congratulate the award winner Henry Ascher.
